South Coast Line
Tweed Heads is 69 miles from Brisbane with a branch line into Southport.
This is where Queenslanders would spend their holidays at the beach.
In the late 1950's the single railway line south of Beenleigh was ripped up and the land sold.
Tweed Heads was in New South Wales, Queensland Railways had to lease the land, built a station and engine turn table.
Tickets to anywhere on this line appear scarce to rare.
